The Granny Smith apple originated in Ryde NSW. Excellent for cooking, but also a superb eating apple if allowed to ripen fully on the tree. Late season fruiting. Does well in warm climates such as northern NSW into QLD. Cross pollinators: Abas, Bonza, Delicious or Jonathon.
